About Heritage Tours
HERITAGE TOURS LLC (originally named Texas International Tours) was founded in 1992 by Byron W. Cain, Jr. in Dallas, Texas, to be a provider of customized group tours for travelers interested in learning about various fascinating areas of the world, primarily the American Southeast and Southwest. Later certain destinations outside America were added, the Maritimes of Canada, Scotland, and Luxembourg. Over the succeeding years, Heritage Tours has planned and escorted tours for thousands of people who have enjoyed and learned from our adventures.
We serve group leaders with turn key trip design and leadership that enables them to offer quality tours to their constituents while enormously reducing the time and effort it takes to conduct such a tours program.
Individual travelers consistently come back with rave reviews about our attention to detail and comfort, and the extensive knowledge and presentational abilities of our speakers.
On the foreign business side of Heritage Tours, we have managed the visits to Texas by a number of highly placed dignitaries, including the Crown Prince of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Minister of the Economy, and the Minister of Industry of the Czech Republic, as well as trade delegations from such diverse counties as Spain, Gabon, Pakistan, and Mexico. We are honored that these governments have placed their confidence in our firm to coordinate their official visits to the U.S.

About Byron W. Cain, Jr.
Byron W. Cain, Jr., Founder and Owner of Heritage Tours, is a Dallas-based travel specialist in certain geographical areas in which he is well-versed, namely, the Old South, including Louisiana, Charleston, Savannah, and Natchez; Texas and the Southwest; and in Europe, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Scotland. As a dedicated traveler and historian, he has come to know these particular areas well and uses this expertise to design group tours for people to explore their history, architecture, local culture and cuisine.
Since 1985 Mr. Cain has lectured in the Continuing Education Department of Southern Methodist University and at Brookhaven College in Dallas on his primary specialty, the history and architecture of the Old South, especially Louisiana and Charleston. In addition he has spoken on these subjects as well as Luxembourg before many organizations around Dallas-Fort Worth such as the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Southern Memorial Association, the Park Cities Historical Society, the Dallas Womans Club, and numerous garden clubs and church groups.
Mr. Cain holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife Nancy have one son, Jeremy, who is learning to appreciate the adventuresome world of travel.
