The annual springtime NATCHEZ PILGRIMAGE presents to the world the opportunity to go inside the grandest and most atmospheric collection of antebellum southern homes in the country. This is the time of the year when private homeowners open up their mansions to visitors to allow them to see the authentic “Gone With the Wind” lifestyle. Your visit includes reserved seats at the famed CONFEDERATE PAGEANT, the South’s most revered homage to the glories of the past. You will see five homes, including the renowned LONGWOOD, left in its unfinished state when the workers evacuated, having just learned of the coming of The War.

Your two dinners in Natchez will be memorable occasions, both at impressive columned mansions, DUNLEITH and STANTON HALL. These will be private affairs for your group only.

Throughout your tour you will be led by historians well versed in local and Southern culture and background. Touring with them will give your members insights and information they would not be able to access otherwise.

Tour Highlights

Based on your departure point, on the way to and from Natchez you will stop in NATCHITOCHES, Louisiana, the oldest town in the Louisiana Purchase, for their delectable meat pies, to see the picturesque scenes where Steel Magnolias was filmed, and to tour MELROSE PLANTATION, one of the South’s most unusual antebellum stories.
